Wildcat Creek Natural Scenic River in Indiana

WILDCAT CREEK ACCESS POINTS
North Fork

Greentown Park

Location: The access point is located on the SE corner of the US 35 bridge over the reservoir fed by Wildcat Creek. The entrance is marked by a large stone "Greentown" sign surrounded by flowers and a flagpole.

Parking: There is parking room for 5-10 vehicles on the grass beside the road (before the gate).

Path to River: There is a long gravel driveway ending at a turnaround by the concrete boat ramp. There is a gate that can close off the drive to the boat ramp. It is unknown when this gate is locked, but it was unlocked on the Wednesday morning we documented this access point.

River Access: There is room to load/unload 3-4 boats at a time. The boat ramp offers access to Kokomo Reservoir by heading north under the bridge. Wildcat Creek is a short paddle south from the boat ramp.

This access point is park-like with picnic tables and a trash can.

Important: The river is constantly changing. Hazards like log jams and tree falls will come and go, so always be ready for them. Riffles will appear and disappear based on water flow levels. Do not attempt boating on this or any river during high water. Please be safe, respectful and responsible on the river.
